حلا غانم أستاذة مساعدة في قسم الهندسة المعمارية في الجامعة الهاشمية في الأردن. حصلت على درجة البكالوريوس في العمارة من الجامعة الأردنية، تلتها درجة الماجستير في التخطيط المكاني من الجامعة الألمانية الأردنية، ودرجة الدكتوراه من جامعة شيفيلد في المملكة المتحدة.

يركز عملها على الفضاءات العامة ودراسات اللاجئين، مستخدمة مناهج نسوية تشاركية قائمة على الفنون لاستكشاف الديناميكيات الاجتماعية المكانية والتجارب المعيشية. وبالتزامها بمناهج متعددة التخصصات، تدرس كيف تتنقل المجموعات المهمشة، خصوصًا اللاجئين، في الفضاءات الحضرية وتعيد تشكيلها.

قادت مشاريع مثل “إدماج اللاجئين في الفضاءات العامة”، الممول من قِبل مجلس أبحاث بلاد الشام البريطاني (CBRL)، كما عملت كمستشارة في مشروع “العدالة البيانية للاجئين في الأردن” بالتعاون مع المعهد الدولي للبيئة والتنمية (IIED) يجمع بحثها بين النظرية والتطبيق، مقدمًا رؤى حول تقاطع التخطيط الحضري والعدالة الاجتماعية وتمكين المجتمع.

Hala Ghanem is an Assistant Professor in the Architectural Engineering Department at the Hashemite University in Jordan. She earned her BA in Architecture from the University of Jordan, followed by an MA in Spatial Planning from the German Jordanian University, and a PhD from the University of Sheffield.

Her work focuses on public spaces and refugee studies, employing participatory and art-based feminist methodologies to explore socio-spatial dynamics and lived experiences. With a commitment to inclusive and interdisciplinary approaches, she examines how marginalized groups, particularly refugees, navigate and shape urban spaces.

She has led projects such as Refugee Integration within Public Spaces, funded by the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), and consulted on the Data Justice for Refugees in Jordan project with the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED). Her research bridges theory and practice, offering insights into the intersection of urban planning, social justice, and community empowerment.
