I’m an urban sociologist and cultural geographer who is interested in community engaged research and understanding and exploring the socio-spatial experiences of migrant and refugee communities across time through the use of qualitative, participatory and creative methodologies. After completing my PhD at the University of Sheffield, I joined Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) in 2021 to work with Dr Caitlin Nunn and Dr Jennifer Cromwell on their UKRI funded project Ancient History, Contemporary Belonging in partnership with Manchester Museum and Sheba Arts.

I am currently based in the Department of Sociology at MMU working across the Migration and International Studies research group and the Manchester Centre for Youth Studies. I guest lecture within the Sociology and Geography departments and also work on the EPSRC funded project PEAS in PODS alongside Professor Keeley Crockett.
